Terrible quality, weak fan, horrible delivery

First of all, the deliver was a nightmare. Frigidaire guarantees second day air delivery shipped same day if ordered before 11 am. My unit, which I ordered at 6 am on Monday, arrived at 5 pm on Thursday AFTER I had scheduled installation. When I called Frigidaire, they said I should have known UPS was striking. UPS was actually never striking and all my other UPS orders arrived ON TIME or early. Furthermore, it was delivered on its side - this is a huge problem for the compressor, as all the oil in the machine shifts from the compressor and you have to hope it resettles again when sitting directly, otherwise your compressor will die shortly. I fear this is what will happen. The unit itself, though, is the real problem. My last unit was the old version of Frigidaire™™s 14,000 btu wall unit, and until the compressor went out (at only 7 years old btw), it was incredible. The fan was super strong and cooled my entire unit easily (my condo is 800 sqare feet, 700 without the bathroom). This brand new unit which cost over $900 with tax BARELY blows cool air over a foot away from it. I literally have to be standing DIRECTLY. In front of it to get any air flow. Because of this, the unit cools over time slowly but whereas I used to be able to turn off my unit so I didn™™t go broke with energy bills, this one BARELY cools enough when left running 24/7. It was installed a week ago yesterday and I keep waiting for it to be worth it but it just isn™™t. I™™m so angry that I spent so much money and paid for delivery for such a cheap, ineffective piece of junk from a company that clearly doesn™™t care at all about its customers.

I am satisfied with my new air-conditioner and it would be better if the control markings on the panel were larger and brighter and also shown on the remote control. The instructions in the booklet are hard to follow, so, I looked at you tube and the directions couldn™™t be heard as the music overpowered the instructor.

The machine works well. The front panel lights are extremely small and difficult to see. My installation is in the wall, below the window-so I must sit on the floor to see which lights are on. Settings revert back to "default" when machine is turned off. Exhaust water collects under a/c within the a/c housing. After 6 weeks, I notice the water is becoming "rusty". Seems odd! So far, the machine cools and dehumidifies the main areas of our home.

Cheap made product, My first AC lasted eight, A year ago, purchased another one with extended warranty and this one lasted 51 days, and a new unit was installed today and I hope this will last more than 51 days.Unbelievable? $862 for the unit lasted 51 days

As others have said, this unit is louder than anticipated. This means that it interferes with sleeping if in the bedroom. And in a family room, people have to talk over the a/c. I find the thermometer is off by 2-4 degrees making it difficult to regulate the room temperature. In spite of reading the manual several times, I can™™t seem to figure out the differences between the various settings. They all seem to be the same. If I had paid more for the unit, I would have rated it 2 or 3 stars. However, It does cool, but not very quickly.

Purchased 2 new AC units on July 28, 2022, one 8,000 BTU (FFTA083WA1) and one 14,000 BTU ( FHTC142WA2) and had it professionally installed. The 8,000 unit worked well and instantly cooled the 300 sqare feet room which it was installed in. However, the 14,000 BTU unit don't seem to be able to maintain cooling temperature over time. Over a 3 hour period with a cooling temperature setting of 62 degrees, it was blowing cold air for only 1/3 of the time, the rest of the time it was just blowing regular room temperature air. I can hear the compressor turning on and off by itself corresponding to the intermittent cold air. The 700 square feet living room was never cooled properly during the 3 hour period. Called Frigidaire customer service and was told to contact the appliance store where i got the AC units for a replacement. Will see if the appliance store will replace the defective unit otherwise I am stuck with a $500+ noisy fan.....

This air conditioner has improved the air quality in my living room with the ionizer and different cooling speeds. I have MS and this air conditioner has really made a difference. I was able to get this air conditioner during the Memorial Day Weekend for a good price. It is easy to use and the installation into the wall sleeve fit like a glove. The frame that came with it dressed it up nicely. This unit packs a lot of power and not as noisy. So far, Frigidaire has lived up to its reputation. Easy to use, good price and power all wrapped in one. A good buy.
