We just moved into a beautiful apartment with panoramic views of San Francico. Only issue - the apartment gets pretty hot during the day as we enjoy these views!We bought a portable Frigidaire Aircon for our living room, and it has changed everything up. The room stays cool, and we can still enjoy the space. The installation was pretty easy (we aren't allowed to put screws in our windows, but the foam, and adjustable vent are easy to use), and took us less than 30 minutes. There is some professional help available I believe if needed too.

I like that there is an app linked to the unit so I can turn on and adjust the temperature from my phone. Also looks nice and sleek. I do recommend. This unit does it all! Keeps our room chilled, is very very quiet in comparison to other units, and the app is unbeatable! Easy to set up. Ideal for a room under 500 sqft. The area that I'm trying to cool is slightly bigger so the unit does not cool enough but that is my fault. I would likely buy a unit with a higher BTU next summer and would not hesitate to get another Frigidaire. The wifi features are handy and connected every time except once it needed a reset. Only thing wish was different is the cold air coming out from the top. Would prefer it coming out from the front instead. Overall happy with the purchase.

Cooling Fails After Warranty Expiration!

I purchased a Frigidaire portable air conditioner (Model No FHPW122AC1) in April 2022. After a season of occasional use that summer in a small room, it was put away for the winter. The following year, it provided a few months of use very light until July 2023 when the unit would no longer deliver cool air; no matter the settings on the unit, it would only (barely) circulate room-temperature air. The unit began to indicate multiple daily ™P1™ codes on the display, and showed evidence of moisture condensing and freezing on the cooling fans (which it had not done at all the previous year). Moisture freezing on the cooling unit is often an indication of a low coolant situation. Upon speaking with warranty service, an in-warranty repair was denied, as the unit was three months past the one-year warranty period. The contact information for three separate authorized repair facilities was provided; however, upon contacting each of those facilities, they indicated that they do NOT service portable air conditioners (and if they did, that the cost of a repair would likely exceed the cost of a new unit). As a side note, I did purchase two additional portable air conditioners from Frigidaire (similar models); one of them no longer blows cool air one month after the warranty period (having only light, seasonal use for about a year), and the other one is showing signs of degraded cooling performance. At a cost of almost $1000 for 2 units that no longer function (and the inability to get the units repaired), my expectation of any degree of longevity for the air conditioner has been shattered, as has my faith in Frigidaire products (which I will no longer consider for any future purchase). Save your money, and buy a cheap fan, as that may be all you are left with after a year if you purchase this ™air conditioner.™ This product is NOT RECOMMENDED.

I purchased this portable AC for my home office because my windows do not allow for a traditional in-window unit. When I bought it I did not realize what a companion this machine would be over the next few months. It was a hot summer and through it all the air conditioning unit was reliable, easy to use and best of all effective. I was able to easily synch the WiFi to my iPhone app for even more convenience. The Frigidaire - 3-in-1 Connected Portable Room Air Conditioner became my own personal droid companion in my home office this entire summer. Like my very own R2D2. This is our first free standing AC! Set up was easy although it is heavy. All the parts appear to be high quality. Having the app for scheduling is awesome. We're using this for our office so being able to manage temps from home is great. Pretty quiet as well. Noticeable that it's running but not too distracting. So far so good...no complaints!
