The first time i purchased this dehumidifier in 2018, it stopped working after 13 months. The compressor broke (error code F1). The same thing happened to my second purchase of this dehumidifier in 2019, except it happened a little less than a year after I purchased it. I only ran the dehumidifiers 4 months of the year.

Seems to be working fine and doing what it should. Basement seems less musty than with the 50 pint unit I was running.

This works great when we want to drop the humidity in the whole house but not run the central A;C. For example, just after cleaning carpets.

I did the startup suggestions for first four (4) days,then lowered fan to medium,set unit to 50. Basement is now dry. Effective fan,very quiet compared to the prevoius unit. Thanks.

For those that have larger basements, larger units like this are a must. So far it has kept the humidity in the basement in the desired range without any problem.

I bought the unit 2 months ago and it works great. We have it in our 1100 sq ft basement. It's easy to empty the bucket once it's full of water.

This is a replacement for an identical year old unit that failed after one season of use. Bought the extended warranty on this one since they are, for the most part, non-repairable. Works like a gem for our 1600 square foot basement. We run a fan to increase the mixing of air. Reliability keeps it at 4 star rating.

The dehumidifier has kept our large basement's air dry and clear. I wish I had bought it years ago. It of course has some degree of sound but it is not too loud.

Bought two of these units 2 1/2 years ago. One was used in the basement and the other was a back-up in case that unit went down. The back-up was used a few hours each summer upstairs in most humid weeks. These replaced a smaller Frigidaire that went out after 20 months.Bought these in July 2016. Used the two for the next two years. This spring I turned them on and they ran but neither one collected water...ooops! Not so good right? The back-up unit in particular was the most disappointing because it had been used so sparingly.The good news is that Frigidaire indicates they will replace both of them! That is great of course. Still if the next two only last 2 1/2 years I will have spent well over a thousand dollars for dehumidifiers that were fantastic when they ran but don't seem to last long.It is perplexing that no one seems to work on dehumidifiers. When purchasing them it is probably best to check out the warranty. These have five years with some limitations. I am currently running an old non-brand older smaller unit that is super old but has been running for seven years. I hate the sound and as it is small it just does the job on humid periods.What is a shame is that the two units have never had their filter's cleaned because they were never run enough to get dirty yet they no longer function. The fan motor runs but it doesn't collect water.I am trying to be totally fair in this review. If you buy more warranty it might be smart to do so. I really really really love these units and when they work they may be the best I have ever owned. How does one review such a product?

It works great at lowering humidity in a large area quickly. Would have given five stars if it had a third lower fan speed. Do like the large filter. I do recommmend this unit.

Purchased about two months ago, other units used barely kept up with the humidity.Once I plugged this unit in within two days reading went from 58 percent humidity to 42 percent. Like the fact that the unit shuts off when levels have been reached, and is ultra quiet.

Fine product, runs quietly and really takes out the moisture from our basement family room. It took a while to learn how to remove the water reservoir without spilling it (an easier way to pull it out would be a welcome improvement).

Like it so far except for the power it's drawing. Been using it for about a month now and I already see my power bill jumped about $80+. Other than that, no issues. It's quiet but not so quiet to put it in a bed room. I have mine in basement. Wish this model had built-in pump instead of gravity pull.

I purchased this about a month ago to put in my very damp cellar in my 100+ year old home - my furnace resides in the cellar, and I wanted to keep the moisture away from it to keep it rust free. My cellar has water seeping in every time it rains, so I needed something to really dry things out, and my previous dehumidifier could not keep up. This one keeps things pretty dry, day in and out. I no longer worry about my furnace getting rusty, nor about musty smells coming from the cellar. Hooking up a hose to keep it draining continuously makes it even better.

We have had this in our basement for about a month now and it's really doing the job. If anything, it works too well as I have to empty it out every few hours. Next step is to hook it up to the drain so I don't have to empty the bucket.

I've Removed about 8% more humidity from my home with my new Frigidaire compared to my previous undersized dehumidifier and my Air Conditioner seems to be so much more efficient and not running constantly to keep my home comfortable. As an added bonus reducing the amount of humidity has also seemed to help the freshness throughout the home

I got this dehumidifier to replace an older dehumidifier that failed. Purchased in June 2016. Unit worked great that summer and 2107. Plugged it in this spring and turned on only to get faked out. Unit sounded like it was running but was not producing any condensate. Then the dreaded but common F0 error code (low refrigerant?) popped up on the display. I followed the instructions for resetting in the owners manual but no joy. Trying to contact Customer Service is fruitless. If you get this unit, purchase an Extended Service Policy since this code seems fairly common and usually occurs after the full warranty expires. In my case, at 23 months of three season use.

I bought this several weeks ago as an additional dehumidifier to the one I already have. I have a large basement and the smaller unit had trouble keeping the humidity levels below 50%. I als hooked this up to my condensation pump on my AC unit so I would not have to dump water periodically. It was very easy to hook up and set up the unit. It keeps the humidity levels between 45 and 50 percent consistently.

Purchased in August of 2017 for my basement garage and shop, two rooms totaling about 565 sq. ft. When it rains a lot it was always a little musty and mold would show up. This 95 pint machine filled the container in just a few hours. Connected the drain to the AC condensate pump to keep from running myself to death. Now just run it on medium or low. Machine works great and basement smells great! Wife even approves.

I have had this model in my basement for 4 months now. My basement has about 2000 square feet of floor. I have had many other brands of dehumidifiers in this basement over the last 15 years. They were all 70 pint size and would wear out in 2 years or less. This Frigidare model is 94 pints and has worked well so far. I am in piedmont North Carolina where the humidity is very high through the summer months. This dehumidifier has kept the humidity at 40 or below through the 4 months I have used it, and it doesn't have to run continually to keep it down. So I am hopeful that this model will last longterm for me.

I have purchased 4 of these models over the past year and they have proven themselves time and time again. Our latest model was placed in a small room beside a portable AC unit. We placed it there once we had discovered a moisture problem within the room. Once it was installed it was an amazing difference, this thing pulls out about 6 gallons of water every day from a small 12x22 room. Amazing!!!

I bought the dehumidifer to support my repair and repainting of my garage. It has worked better than I thought. It pulls 2 containers of water out of the air every day. The draw of electricity isn't excessive either

Really pulls moisture out of the air. Can literally feel the difference. Needs a drain li e kit, ha e to empty it twice a day. Only thing I don't like is the noise level. Plastic case shakes and rattles. Needs better sound dampening.

I bought this unit a couple of months ago and it is doing a very good job of keeping the humidity level down in my approximately 1800+ sq. ft. unfinished basement. Within 4 days the humidity dropped from 77% to 47%. I now have it set at 50% so that it does not run all of the time and it is keeping the humidity at around 49%. The only negative that I see at this time is the capacity of the water storage tank which is small for this size dehumidifier. This is not a problem for me because I set it up to continuously drain the water into a drain. I also purchased an extended warranty with this product just in case there are any future problems.

We bought this unit two months ago because of a moist basement and fear of mold. It would get 5 stars except for what it indicates as the moisture level in the basement and what three other hydrometers indicate is very different. As long as I understand that when it shows 63% humidity and the other three show 50%, everything is fine. It removes moisture efficiently.

I ordered it through Lowes and it was delivered to my door. Had it for two months and it works great. Pull good amount of water out of the air in the basement. I can't get close to a drain so I use the bucket. I wish it was a little larger though.

I had bought a 94 pint soleus unit but it was very loud and it vibrated very badly. I returned it and purchased the Frigidaire FAD954WD. The build quality is so much better on the Frigidaire. Very happy with the purchase, like day and night compared to the Soleus.
