Service Department Manager
Job Type: Full-time
The Service Department Manager is responsible for overseeing all day to day activities in the service department while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Assist in daily activities of department staff and ensure department staff follows standard operating procedures.
Daily Job Functions
-Supervise both in house office staff and technicians to maintain an efficient operation while properly addressing customer needs.
-Being proactive on customer issues before an issue is escalated to management.
-Resolves customer/service accounts in a prompt and efficient manner to minimize customer inconvenience and maximize the company's business image with the customer.
-Monitor incoming phone and text traffic to Customer service to maximize performance and assure accuracy.
-Responsible for all parts inventory, parts ordering, receiving and returns.
-Responsible forever seeing the contact customers on back ordered parts on a weekly basis.
-Support Dispatch staff to ensure that all dispatch functions occur on-time and in an orderly, efficient and effective manner.
-Maintained vendor service contracts, and contacts each vendor yearly for updated contracts and rate increases.
-Documents factory recall procedures and updates appropriate departments via correspondence as needed.
-Oversee Warranty staff to make sure claims are being properly entered.
-Assist with Month End Reporting.
-Responsible for maintaining Profitability goals within the Service Department.
